Following unsuccessful attempts by others, Belsize Architects have received planning permission for the redevelopment of a brownfield site overlooking Mitcham Common.
The scheme delivers 25 high quality new homes of varied sizes. The carefully considered design and architecture responds to the different adjacent streets and the nearby conservation area.
The building is comprised of two blocks; one with flats and winter gardens, one with terraced houses with flats above. The proposed materiality is predominantly brick with fluted concrete bays and green-grey zinc roofs.
