We are very pleased to announce that Belsize Architect’s director Shahriar Nasser has been made a member of the Islington Design Review Panel for the period 2015-2017.
Islington is famous for the architecture of its historic squares and terraces. The Council is keen that future generations be just as proud of the buildings that are being constructed today. To this end the Council has established the Islington Design Review Panel to serve as an independent advisory body to the Council on large scale development proposals and other design issues within the Borough.
The Panel consists of 35 members, with representatives from a range of built environment professions inclining architecture, planning, urban design, the arts, landscape design, environmental sustainability, surveying and other relevant disciplines. It reviews proposed projects in accordance with the Principles of Design Review of the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment. Five members of the Panel and the Chair participate in each review.
