Launched in 1948 the Housing Design Awards are the longest running housing awards in the country, and the only awards promoted by all 5 major professional institutions – RICS, RIBA, RPTI, Landscape Institute and Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.The awards are a cross industry partnership between various arms of government, the private sector and all key professional institutions.
No other housing awards have the mandate to call themselves the national programme.
